JOB PURPOSE:

The HR (Generalist) Manager will drive our organization-wide Human Resource Management and development initiatives.

 

HR (Generalist) Manager will be responsible for designing a sustainable Human Resource Management framework, scheduling employee training programs, implementing regular performance evaluations and designing succession planning policies. You will also help us maintain an equal employment opportunity environment.

Essential Functions

  1. Organize and oversee individual and team training programs (both outsourced and in-house)
  2. Plan regular employee performance evaluations.
  3. Conduct skills gap analyses.
  4. Monitor and report on turnover rates.
  5. Develop employee retention programs and team-building activities.
  6. Craft policies that support internal promotions.
  7. Build succession plans.
  8. Create organizational charts and define each position’s responsibilities.
  9. Discuss career-pathing options with high-potential employees and their team leaders.
  10. Perform benchmark research on compensation and benefits.
  11. Onboard new hires.
  12. Coach employees and act as their consultant regarding learning and development activities.

 

Required competencies  

  1. Proven work experience as a Human Resource Generalist or similar role.
  2. Familiarity with performance management and relevant software
  3. Experience delivering employee training programs
  4. Knowledge of labor legislation
  5. Hands-on experience with Human Resources tools (e.g. Applicant Tracking Systems)
  6. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  7. Team spirit
  8. BSc/MSc in Human Resources or relevant field
  9. Additional certification (e.g. CIPD or SPHR) is a plus.
  10. At least seven years’ experience in, and knowledge of managing HR in the tech sector or start-up scene.
  11. Significant leadership experience in the technology/digital sector or business development more widely (or a passion for innovation and technology);
  12. Seeing the Big Picture, Leading and Communicating, Collaborating and Partnering, Delivering at Pace.

 

Language:  Excellent spoken and written English.
